Then I graduated from college, the first thing I wanted to do was buy a horse, so that is what I did. I did extensive research to find the ultimate horse. I did not want a horse that had a bad start, which made me think of getting a very young horse, so I could mold him/her into the perfect horse for me. I also wanted a grand prix jumper and never could think about affording one, so I went for the legendary jumping bloodlines, Lancaster/Landgraf, and Ladykiller.
My fiancee actually found Lordfurst when we were surfing the net. I saw his picture and said, "yeah right, I bet he is too expensive." He said, "nope I think we can afford him with payments." I knew then that was the horse, and I had to do what I could to get him. I got a loan from my bank and we went down to Florida to look at him. He was everything we expected and more.
Lordfurst then arrived in Maryland in chilly December when he was 8 months old. He was foaled by BeGlorified April 25, 2001. BeGlorified, a Premium American Warmblood Registered Mare who is a 5 year old Tobiano paint with Shire and Quarterhorse bloodlines standing at 16 hands. Sonia Thomas did the "imprinting" on this young colt and did a great job.
Lordfurst is going to be a beautiful and famous stallion one day, and I can then say, yeah we are in the grand prix, and "Donald Trump is not my father!" I invite you to browse Lordfurst's page and see him grow into an exceptional stallion!!

Breeding
Lordfurst is a registered and branded American Warmblood and will be registered with the American Holsteiner Association for the awards program when he starts competing under saddle. Lordfurst is also in stud book II of RPSI for breeding.
Lordfurst's Dam, BeGlorified is a premium bay pinto (Tobiano) warmblood. BeGlorified's Sire is Bonibrook First Son, who is a huge beautiful bay Shire and is also registered with the American Warmblood Association. BeGlorified's Dam is Breeze to Glory, a pinto (PTHA registered). Bonibrook First Son's sire, Bonibrook Joe ILO is ranked number 201 tied with Banter (HAN) on the following link, and look at the famous sires that are 100% European warmbloods he outranks. http://www.equestrian.org/points2003/leadingSirePoints.php?year=2003&viewCat=Dressage
Lordfurst's Sire is Lancaster who is currently in Canada showing and was recently very popular in Florida winning several upper level dressage and show jumping classes. Lordfurst looks just like his sire, Lancaster who is out of the famous Landgraf who was the world's most legendary show jumper and still might be as of today. Landgraf's sire is Ladykiller who has produced many champions.
Lordfurst will be ready for breeding at 3 years of age. The first several breedings will be a very reasonable stud fee, and will continually increase as offspring compete and he competes. |

About the Owner
Hi! I am, Julia Bartel. I was born and raised in Maryland. The first time I saw a horse was at the age of two and was very afraid. The horses were at my mom's boss's house. After my mom finally convinced me to just sit on the horse, she had no idea what she had in store for her. I did not want to get off the horse. If someone tried to get me off the horse, I would cry. Soon after, about the age of 3, I started riding lessons at Columbia Horse Farm. I rode there for about 4 years.
When I moved to Bowie, I rode at Clay Hill Stables, Loftmar Stables, Pimlico Race Track, Bowie Race Track, Equilibrium Horse Farm, Davidsonville Stables, Willow Glen Farm, and several more. At these barns, I developed more and more riding skills, barn management, barn care, and horse care.
During high school summers I was asked to be Kelly Kerwin's groom for her grand prix dressage horses, and that is when I discovered dressage and how lovely warmbloods are. I had the great opportunity to observe training with Linda Zang, Kelly Kerwin, Judy Nukem, and many more. I then became discliplined in dressage, hunter, jumper, and equitation.
After high school I went onto college in Greensburg, PA. There I attended Seton Hill College and was captain of the Equestrian team. I still never owned a horse, just leased them. There I showed hunter on the intercollegiate level in Zone 3 Region 3, which can be viewed at www.sportscampus.com under equestrian.
My time in college was focused on Veterinarian Medicine and the equestrian/tennis team. My whole life was focused on having my own horse, since all I've done before was leased and trained other people's horses.
As soon as I graduated from college I moved in with my fiancee who has 2 acres of land in Davidsonville, MD. He then built me a private show stallion barn specially designed for Lordfurst. After I worked for about 4 months, I had enough money to put down on an exceptional horse and that would be Lordfurst. I also own a 5 yr old Canadian Sport horse who is for sale! and both horses are kept now at Galindo's Equestrain Center. Lordfurst will be moving to the Eastern Shore pending on the new house with 10 acres sale goes through this friday Nov, 14th, 2003.
I also enjoy many other sports besides equestrian. I snow ski, water ski, Scuba dive, hike, bike, ride motorcycles, ATVs, play tennis, enjoy boating, and much more. I have travelled to many places around the US as well as Canada and Europe.
My top 3 favorite Grand Prix show jumpers are Greg Best, Margie Ingle, and McLain Ward. I also like to do a lot of combined training with all my horses. I very much enjoy freestyle dressage. I am 23 years old at this time (2002)and hope Lordfurst will be the one to take me to the Grand Prix level at the age of 33 or so.

About the Breeder
Sonia Thomas of Robson Warmbloods in Newberry Florida decided to take on breeding for a hobby and career in 1997 with the purchase of Be Glorified, a pinto-shire weanling filly. They have slowly brought her along, allowing her to mature fully prior to advancing her training under saddle until late in her fourth year. They bred "Glow" as a three year old to Lancaster, a popular local Holsteiner stallion and were thrilled with the results! Her colt Lordfurst was everything they had planned for! They have tailored their breeding operation to Holsteiner/Dutch lines for 2002-03, with the breeding of a lovely filly to the stallion Olympic Ferro.
It is their desire to produce sound and sane sport horses that can perform for both the amateur and professional. "Glow" has proven her abilities in dressage breeding competition by winning mare champion, qualifying for the USDF dressage breeding finals two years running, and by receiving the bronze medal from the American WB Society for her in hand score of 73.5% She is currently for sale, and under saddle, schooling training level and jumping 3'++. Glow has a wonderful mind, is very athletic and has the movement for dressage. She will make a very versatile mount.
They believe in cross-training and take every opportunity to hack out or train with their endurance friends!
They trust that their program will be of benefit to those looking for a long term relationship with their equine partners. Please feel free to contact them.
